Agenda for WinDays 2012 Session: C++ in Visual Studio 11

In this session you will see all the new things that were improved or added for native developers in Visual Studio 11. We will first see how the compiler support for the new C++11 standard is coming along and what lies in the future.

After that, we will briefly touch on the IDE enhancements before tackling another major subject: library support. STL library is extended and you can finally write portable multithreaded code. Parallel programming library is extended with improved support for task-based programming model. We conclude this overview with short introduction for C++ AMP.

The last part focuses on the native Metro application development with C++ and with the brief mention of the C++/CX extensions.
